Hey there,
Needless to say Sean and I became fast friends. At the time I was the lead singer in a band with my childhood fiend, Nate. Part of my reason for moving to this new HS was to be closer and more available for the band. The music was really heavy influences like METALLICA, Testament, GNR, Deliverence (christian metal) Etc. and we were playing shows (in churches, on the stage lol). However, it wasn't long after songwriting with Sean that I started to feel like I wanted to leave and start a more grunge rock band with Sean.
Enter "Blue Hippo" I can't remember exactly who thought of the name of why but it was chosen and the band took off! Our first show was playing in a church, to a sold out show with an official "greenroom"! We felt like REAL Rockstars!! I even got to experience one of my musical dreams of having the crowd sing the lyrics to you, albeit on a much smaller scale, but it was amazing. The song was called "Killjoy" the first song Sean and I wrote together. The next 3-5 years would yield 100's of more songs, dozens of new bands and band names. Sean and I were inseparable. the adventures we got in, the music that was written and BELLY DANCERS! I can't wait to share more stories.
